Track Day Hockenheimring

Our Track Day Hockenheimring is aimed at newcomers as well as experts and racers.

At the side of real racing professionals, you will experience the ideal line, hone your skills using data analysis if you wish and enjoy the fascination of your sports car. Experience passion & perfection, fun & safety in an environment with style and ambience. You can take part with your own sports car or with a Porsche provided by us.

Our motto: “Less is more” — starting places are strictly limited!

If you would like to drive on the Hockenheimring, you have various options with us:

Drive your own sports car or one you have provided at the Hockenheimring.

Participation is either in your own sports car or in a Porsche provided by us.
30 or 50 guided laps (RD) alternating with Porsche 911 (922), Porsche Cayman GT4 and Porsche 911 GT3 (991).

Co-pilot experiences

If you don’t want to drive yourself but still want to enjoy the experience on the racetrack, you can ride as a passenger in a sports car or racing car with a professional driver.

We offer co-pilot experiences both at the Hockenheimring and at the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring.

Tourist rides

drive in motion offers you the opportunity to take part in tourist drives. Here you can drive your own car on the race track, whereby a certain speed limit applies. Registration is also required for this!

Drive a racing car yourself

If you would like to drive a professional racing car on the racetrack, you can also book a racing car rental.You will usually be trained beforehand to drive the racing car safely. However, this driving program is only recommended for participants who have already completed several driver training courses or have a racing license!

We distinguish between two training levels:

Track Day Hockenheimring – Newcomer
You are a NEWCOMER and do not regularly take part in track days. Coach-led tours will slowly bring you onto the ideal line. You decide individually whether and when you want to start free driving.

Track Day Hockenheimring – Expert
You are already an expert, know the racetrack and want to use your experience to get started with free driving on our track days. During the first stint, you will familiarize yourself with the track conditions. You can fall back on the tips and support of our racetrack professionals at any time.

Safety Plus Package – SIMPLY SAFE!
You think that you and your car deserve the best possible care. Great. By selecting this option you have the following added values:

  • Easy BOOKING GUARANTEE
    Something can always come up. If you cancel up to 30 days before the event, even without giving reasons, we will credit you 70% of your booking amount for the booked date.
  • PERFORMANCE COACHING
    An experienced racing coach and champion will accompany you and a maximum of 5 other drivers through your track day. Whether on guided laps or onboard at your side, a professional will guide you through the day, give you tips, adjust your suspension if required, prevent you from making mistakes and help you learn from the best.
  • PITSTOP SERVICE
    Not only you but also your brakes and tires have a lot to do. It’s good to have an experienced mechanic keeping an eye on your car, adjusting your air pressures, checking for oil and water if necessary and constantly ensuring a clear view with clean windows.
  • PROTECTION
    We trust in our quality, our program and our coaches. If you have an accident during the guided laps or alongside our coaches during onboard laps, we will pay you compensation of up to EUR 60,000. We don’t have to do this, but we want to, because your success and safety are important to us.

  • The deductible in the event of a claim is €10,000.00
  • A disclaimer including data protection declaration and photo and film permission must be signed on site
  • The training is not intended to achieve top speeds
  • Accompanying persons are possible for an additional charge
  • Children are unfortunately not permitted on the test site.
    Young people from the age of 16 after consultation and approval by the track operator.

  • Comfortable clothing and shoes
  • Helmet (can also be borrowed from us free of charge!)
  • Driving licence and identity card
  • We will send out a detailed briefing on the event approx. 1 week before the respective event date

Requirements

  • A driving licence is required
  • Minimum age 25 years
  • Participation according to StVZO in the Newcomer and Expert Slot approx. 5 vehicles per group / coaching included (GT/GTS)
  • Wearing a helmet is required
  • We will inform you of the max. dB phon restriction — depending on the racetrack
  • €10.000,00 deductible in case of damage
  • Track day insurance can be taken out for an additional charge

    Track Day Hockenheimring

    The GP circuit is 4.574 km long and has 17 bends for drivers to master on our track days, making it an unforgettable event and experience!

    You have the opportunity to drive your own vehicle or sports car with over 200 hp or a Porsche sports car mix provided by us such as Porsche Boxster, Porsche Cayman, Porsche 911 Type 992, Porsche GT4 or in the new and exclusive Porsche 992 GT3 built in 2021.

    You are welcome to put your driving skills to the test at one of our trackdays at the Hockenheimring. Speed and driving fun are always guaranteed at our trackdays!

    If you want to double your training time, simply choose our Porsche Single option.

    What is a track day at the Hockenheimring?

    A track day at the Hockenheimring gives you exclusive access to one of Germany’s most iconic Formula 1 circuits in your own or a hired sports car. drive in motion organises private and semi-private track day events with professional coaching, timing systems and full circuit access.

    Can I drive my own car at the Hockenheimring track day?

    Yes. You can bring your own sports car or high-performance vehicle to our Hockenheimring track days. The car must meet circuit safety requirements, which we communicate in advance. Alternatively, we provide Porsche, Ferrari or other vehicles on request.

    What driving licence do I need for the Hockenheimring?

    A standard valid driving licence is sufficient for our track day events. No racing licence or additional certification is required.

    Is professional coaching included at the Hockenheimring?

    Yes. All drive in motion track day events include professional driver coaching. Whether you are a first-time circuit driver or an experienced track enthusiast, our coaches work with you individually to improve your braking points, racing lines and overall lap time.

    What is the difference between a Newcomer and Expert track day at the Hockenheimring?

    Our Newcomer format is designed for drivers new to circuit driving, with guided laps and speed progression at your own pace. The Expert format gives experienced drivers open pitlane access and the freedom to push their limits under professional supervision.

    When do the Hockenheimring track days take place?

    We run track day events at Hockenheimring throughout the year. Exact dates are published on our track day dates page and updated regularly. Early booking is recommended as places are strictly limited.

    Can I book a private Hockenheimring track day for a corporate group?

    Yes. Private corporate track days at the Hockenheimring are available for groups from 6 to 30+ vehicles. We handle all logistics including circuit booking, catering, coaching and vehicle provision. Contact us for availability and pricing.
