Frequently Asked Questions

What is ice driving in Lapland?

Ice driving in Lapland is an advanced winter driving experience on frozen lakes in the Arctic Circle. Participants drive high-performance vehicles — including Porsche and Mercedes-AMG models — on specially prepared ice tracks, mastering controlled drifts, braking on ice and precision handling in extreme winter conditions.

Where exactly does the Lapland ice driving take place?

Our ice driving experiences take place in the Arvidsjaur region of Swedish Lapland, approximately 100 km inside the Arctic Circle. The area is home to some of Europe’s most established and professional ice driving facilities, used year-round by automotive manufacturers for testing.

When is the best time for ice driving in Lapland?

The ice driving season in Lapland runs from January to mid-March, when frozen lake conditions are at their most reliable. February is typically the peak month for optimal ice quality, daylight hours and temperatures. We run programmes throughout the season.

Do I need prior experience for ice driving in Lapland?

No prior ice driving or motorsport experience is needed. Our programmes are designed for motivated drivers of all backgrounds. Professional coaching is included throughout, with instructors guiding you through every technique on the ice.

What vehicles are used for the Lapland ice driving?

We use Porsche and Mercedes-AMG vehicles with winter tyres and studded tyres depending on the programme. Vehicles are fully prepared for Arctic conditions and inspected daily by our technical team.

What is included in the Lapland ice driving package?

Packages typically include hotel accommodation in Lapland (often in iconic log cabins or ice hotels), all driving sessions with professional coaching, vehicle use, safety equipment, selected meals and airport transfers. Flights to Lapland are not included.

Can this be organised as a corporate incentive programme?

Absolutely. Lapland ice driving is one of our most requested corporate incentive formats. The combination of Arctic environment, exclusive vehicles and team experience creates a powerful and memorable programme. We design private group programmes from 6 to 40+ participants.
